Mechanisms

Our general approach was to design the protocol in such a way that people’s incentives align as much as possible with our stated goal of solving

the problem of public goods (through credible estimation of the economic impact of public goods and proper compensation of contributors). Whenever participants’ incentives are expected to inevitably clash, we put mechanisms in place that reduce or eliminate the effects of incentive misalignment.
